About the pumpkin patch
Every year at Katiebugs, we transform our cozy corner into a delightful pumpkin patch, brimming with unique pumpkins, delicious treats and the warmest fall vibes! Our journey began in 2020, inspired by watching too many heartwarming Hallmark movies. We decided a pumpkin patch was the perfect addition to our year-round bakery, and just two weeks later, we found ourselves driving a big truck to the pumpkin farm—no looking back since!
Now, our pumpkin patch has blossomed into a cherished tradition. Families return year after year, little ones in tow, eagerly planning their fall festivities around their visits to Katiebugs. From adorable fall dates to grandparents sharing sweet moments with their GRANDKIDS,
Each pumpkin in our patch is hand-selected, ensuring a delightful variety of colors, unique shapes, charming stems and great size options. We refresh our patch weekly with new pumpkins from September 19th to November 2nd, so there’s always something new to discover! if you’re dreaming of the perfect porch display, don’t hesitate to ask Melissa—our pumpkin expert—who lovingly stocks our patch and is always happy to help!
Here’s some important info for your visit:
-There’s lots of free parking in the gravel lot directly across the street.
-The pumpkin patch runs from September 19th to November 2nd. We are open the same hours as our bakery: Wednesday-Saturday from 12pm-6pm. Closed Sunday-Tuesday.
-Please no outside food.
-We are not a traditional bakery! We are a walk-up & drive-thru business who throws awesome events you won’t find anywhere else, like the pumpkin patch, every month. You can see everything we have for the day in our display case at the walk-up window. We do not have an inside space.
-Our menu changes daily! We post it each day at noon in our Instagram & Facebook stories. We also update throughout the day on stories if we run out of things.
-Yes, the pumpkins are for sale! They range in price from $2-$24. We hand pick & reload all of the pumpkins in our patch each week. That means the variety in the patch is fresh each week. Kids must have adult supervision at all times for safety reasons.
-If you need help designing your pumpkins for your porch just ask Melissa! She’s the Queen of the Pumpkin Patch & an expert decorator. Her decorating resume is actually quite impressive. She’s the one who picks out all of the pumpkins each week to load into the patch.
-We don’t allow organized/professional photo shoots at the pumpkin patch during open hours. Our patch is too small. It creates an awkward vibe for our customers & blocks them from accessing the cute pumpkin patch. You can schedule a time outside for open hours for a fee by messaging us on social media. Snaps in the patch while you’re enjoying your treats are welcomed!
